My First Giveaway!
May 27, 2010Ok all, so this is my first giveaway….and probably my last. I was surprised to actually have a chance to finally have a giveaway. Here we go…
The lovely people at MyBlogSpark have given me the opportunity to offer 2 of you a $35 gas card from Jiffy Lube! This should cover most, if not all, of the cost of an oil change. There was only supposed to be 1 winner, but they sent me a gift card and then I realized that I do not have a Jiffy Lube any where close to me at all! I felt like such an idiot! But, you all lucked out so now there will be 2 winners! Oil Changes are something that need to be done on a regular basis so everyone could use a gift card to get one done!
April is both National Car Care and National Informed Women Month and a perfect opportunity to get empowered to care for your car! (Ok, so I am behind on this one!) Did you know that in the United States the average age of cars and light trucks on the roads today has reached a record high of 9.4 years? That means it’s more important than ever to take proper care of your vehicle.
With the informative Web site www.MotorOilMatters.org (created by the maker of industry-leading brands Pennzoil and Quaker State) you can easily locate key information about how quality motor oils can help prolong your engine’s life and improve overall efficiency, as well as help answer other questions you may have about motor oil. In addition, the site offers a fun, educational game for you to play called “M.O.M. Knows Best” where you can put your motor mind to the test with an interactive quiz.
Did you know?
- According to a recent survey from the Automotive Service Association, more than 54 percent of customers who take their vehicles for service and repair are women
- Using a high-quality motor oil in the right grade can help maximize fuel economy
- Low-quality oils that do not meet industry standards or the vehicle manufacturer’s requirements could cost consumers in the long run by potentially damaging the vehicle’s engine or possibly voiding the manufacturer’s warranty
- Another reason to look to a high-quality motor oil – like Pennzoil and Quaker State – is that it is designed to meet the demands of today’s engines
So, go ahead and take a look around the Motor Oil Matters site and tell me what you found most interesting! To be fair, I will be using random.org to pick the winners! Oh and this isn’t just for the women out there!
Make sure to go to Jiffy Lube’s site and make sure that there is a Jiffy Lube near you! Don’t be an ass like me! While you’re there sign up to get a $5 coupon too!
Giveaway ends June 4th! So hurry!

Awesome giveaway girl! My car is now 8 years old and other than the paint ruined by the girl who through up out my car and it froze overnight (true story and I’m sure there’s a post in there), it has treated me really well. I think it’s important to return the favor, but often find myself a few miles late. Good to know that I’m not being BS’d when they tell me to use the more high quality stuff. AND I got to jiffylube so this would be amaaaazing!
Now that is a really useful giveaway!
That makes sense that about 54 percent of those who take their car in for servicing would be women. This is probably due in large to a lot of guys wanting to do it themselves or being cheap. Me I take my car in on a regualar basis becuase if somebody screws it up then it’s their fault and they can pay to get it fixed not me. Great idea for a giveaway those things are always very useful.
If the Good Lord wanted me to change my own oil, He wouldn’t have invented Jiffy Lube.
You’re so damn cute bitch!
I found out that W stands for weight and not winter
I discovered that your car manual gives you the time period between oil changes, so its not universal! It’s different for each type of car.
Severe use typically includes stop-and-go driving, frequent high-speed driving and short trips. These would include my errands!
I was actually shocked that the W stands for winter and not weight…I’ve been mislead! LOL
The main thing I learned from this site is that it pays to read your vehicle’s owner’s manual carefully, esp. when it comes to choosing motor oil. I don’t live near a jiffy lube, but I will when I move, so as long as the certificate doesn’t expire soon, I can use it. Otherwise, I could give it to a friend.
